Chat Rules
1) English only in global chat.
- Do not use special characters, including non-english accented symbols.
- Use /msg (name), /r or /local to speak with others in other languages.
2) No spamming, flooding, or excessive/repetitive caps.
3) No links in Global. Do not advertise/discuss other servers in global OR message.
4) Swearing is allowed up to a point. Actively verbally attacking a player is not permitted. Do not harass others. Use /ignore if you have a problem with a player, don't perpetuate conflict.
5) No racist/political/religious/hate speech garbage. Treat others as you would want to be treated.
6) Do NOT impersonate staff!
- This includes changing your name to resemble a staff member's, claiming to be a staff member or alt thereof, or telling people how they'll be punished. That is NOT for YOU to decide!
7) Please don't ask for staff rank, OP, creative, items, etc.
8) If a staff member says to drop the conversation, DROP IT. It doesn't matter who started it or who was involved; whoever continues will receive punishment as well.
= Failure to comply will result in a mute. Repeated offenses will result in a tempban+.
= If user is Guest rank and floods chat as their first action on the server, they will be permbanned.
= Linking in global will result in a 10 minute mute; linking a server will result in a 7-day tempban. Further offenses will result in a permban.
Server Content
1) No hacking, duping, x-ray, or glitch exploitation. This includes but is not limited to abusing chunk rendering errors or other methods to find dungeons, ores, etc.
= Hacked clients will result in an immediate perm ban.
= If you are found x-raying/abusing glitches, all items in your inventory will be destroyed and you will be banned for 30 days. Admitting your fault instead of playing stupid at the moment you were banned will reduce it to 15 days. You may also appeal and admit your faults for a reduced ban sentence.
= Users who x-ray immediately upon joining the server will receive a 30-day tempban. Second offense results in a perm ban and all claims/builds and items removed.
= Duping will result in a 30-day tempban on first offense. Second offense will be a permban.
2) Friends don't let friends hack. If you are building/travelling with a user that is hacking/x-raying, you will be banned by association for 15 days (vs their 30).
3) No offensive usernames or skins.
= You will be asked once to change it. Refusal to cooperate will result in a 30-day tempban. Returning with the same or similar will result in a perm ban.
4) No offensive builds, signs, books, map art, or item names. This includes, but is not limited to, religious, historic, or otherwise known 'trigger' builds.
= On first offense, items/builds will be destroyed and result in a 30 minute jail. Second offense will result in a 7-day tempban. Third offense will result in a 30-day tempban. Further offenses will be a perm ban.
= Building a "cathedral" structure with NO visible religious indicators is perfectly fine. Adding crosses is a no-go.
5) No lag machines. Flying machines will not work outside of claims. No more than 400 hoppers per 200x200 area. No all-item sorters; keep it under 50 items to be sorted.
= Punishment is the same for offensive builds.
6) Long, skinny claims with the purpose of creating highways, minecart tracks, or nether paths are not allowed (ie, a claim that is 5x100+ blocks) and will be deleted without warning. If you need to temporarily claim the path for pistons to function, that is fine, but must be unclaimed swiftly when finished.

7) Farms must have a shut-off system or a way to prevent mobs from stacking up. It is also suggested that you DO NOT build your main base around a bunch of farms.
= There is NO REASON to build "the biggest farm ever." You do not need that much cactus. Our server provides generous amounts of XP bottles from voting for armour/tool repair. If you need resources, always ask who has them. Many resources are happily given away for free and we do not need yet another sugar cane farm when a single user already has 200 dubs they're drowning in.
8) Anything which gives you an unfair advantage over others is bannable. Including but not limited to chest organizers, mob hp, minimaps, duping, x-ray, etc. This also includes using Zoom in Optifine during PVP. You will be caught and you will be punished. If you don't want a vanilla experience, find a different server!
9) If you are banned, muted, or jailed, you may not use an alternate account to evade your punishment. If your friend is muted/jailed/banned, going nuclear in Global chat (or Discord) will negatively impact you both.
= Mutes and jails will be applied to the alternate account for the same duration as the main.
= Ban evading will up your ban by one tier. (ex: if you're banned for 7 days for offensive build and return with an alt, both accounts will be banned for 30 days)
= The server also automatically blocks and bans users whose main character has been banned. You cannot get around it. Post an Appeal.
~ If you suspect anyone of any of the above, please do NOT call it out in Global chat or attempt to approach the person yourself! Message a staff member and we will look into it. ^^
Player to Player Conduct
1) TP-killing is NOT legal.
- Do not push players out of spawn. Also don't afk in spawn.
- You may be jailed for your safety if you're found AFK at spawn. Message any staff member when you return!
2) Trapping around your base IS allowed.
- You may NOT tp someone with the intention of leading them into a trap, including mob-infested areas. If there's a risky area, put a Keep Out or Danger sign~
3) PVP and griefing is enabled outside of claims. Combat timer lasts for 3 seconds before you can teleport away/place blocks/etc.
- If you're hit outside of your claim, running inside will not prevent you from being hit/killed.
- Staff should not actively seek out players to kill, but may offer to spar. If you encounter a staff member in the wild, they're supposed to crouch to 'stand down'. If you choose to engage, they are free to attack back and kill you. Staff cannot teleport away under a combat timer (even admins - no 'abuse' cries!)
4) Dragging/pushing people out of their claim or into damage-enabled areas is not allowed. Attempting to bypass claim protections to cause damage to users inside their claims is also not allowed.
5) "Claim camping," setting a home outside of a player's base and harassing them for days or more, is not permitted. Grief it and move on!
- Similarly, claiming an area and leaving it unimproved is not allowed and will be subject to removal. Build something or unclaim it so someone else can make use of the space! This also applies to highway claims. A road alone, or a single farm in the middle of a 1000x1000 claim, is too minimal and will be reduced or removed.
6) Claims must have 100 blocks between claim borders (unless you're building with friends/have permission from your neighbours).
- Claiming around others with the intention of keeping them from expanding is not allowed. Essentially, you may not use claims to grief.
7) Scamming is NOT allowed.
- This includes but is not limited to having a third party interrupt the trade, intentionally giving bad deals, and not delivering on services.
8) Offering "IOU" trades is not allowed. Similarly gambling is also not allowed.
9) "IRL deals" ARE allowed. Third-party deals ARE NOT.
- You may trade in-game goods (like diamonds) or services (like building a large mob farm or collecting wood) for items from /buy.
- You MAY NOT trade CastleMC goods for other server goods, Minecraft accounts, Steam credits, Pokemon cards, first born children, direct PayPal, or ANYTHING ELSE that is not from shop.paper-craft.org or play.paper-craft.org
Pro tip: Trade in a chest so there will be a record, in case anything goes wrong, doesn't get delivered, or a party disconnects.
= First offense for violating the above will result in a 30m jail, second offense 7-day tempban, third 30 days. Further will result in a perm ban.
We reserve the right to protect the our community and maintain the atmosphere of our server. We do not tolerate trolls or people trying to be "edgy" and get a rise out of people simply for the sake of starting shit. This is not Facebook. This is not Twitter. We are not a daycare. Please take it elsewhere. Those who violate the server rules or those we feel do not fit with the server may be removed at our discretion.
